Not always possible to separate fiction from reality for the little ones... For instance, it's really hard to convince my daughters that Frozen is not real when the local Mormon temple looks like it actually is a damn ice castle...

So we just roll with it.... EDIT: Or better yet, we just LET IT GO! LET IT GOOOOO!!! (Missed the obvisous bad joke the first time around)
I'm answering the door next time.

near where we lived when I was a kid and my mom told me it was Disney World. I was really sad that we never went.

This is not a response to what you said, I was just reminded of it.

Well, getting ready to look for jobs and just called my last three employers to get my glowing reviews. Two have been taken over by bigger (and imo worse, but whatever) companies. They had automated phone lines (one to equifax!!). So, no real HR person to speak for you.
The other didn't answer the phone (juvenile detention......so, that wasn't a surprise).

Sigh.

I guess you can just look at life like this. When you know better you do better.

At least I hope so.

Little children should have parents telling them Sesame Street isn't real life.
My daughter never watched it. Her first show (when she was four or so) was Singing in the Rain. She watched that over and over.

I'm an 80's kid so everything I grew up with is bad for you.

I still had the best toys. Small pieces and all.
I hears you. Late 70's here. I had a chemistry set, when I was 10, with like 54 different chemicals, including all the ingredients for gunpowder. I also came with a Geiger counter, radioactive material, a bunch of mercury... Basically I could have built a dirty bomb with mercury switch, from a $12 set from Toys R us.
