I keep the backlighting quite low (7 out of 25) and just use a regular lamp, like it's an actual book.

@Vanyanka other than the existential dread and the fact that I ended up with under $100 in my bank account and was only miraculously saved by mturk at the final hour, yes. Luckily there were shady trees so it wasn't too hot.
