I'll speak for myself, but my huge problem is the time it takes to get from mturk to payments (6 hours is min I'm seeing). I used to transfer everything that dropped by 6pm est. It would immediately go to payments and then I would withdraw it at 602pm from my payments and it woiuld be in my bank by 8am est the next morning.
Now I have to transfer everything to payments by 9a (which leaves a lot of the day for money to drop in). To me it just smacks a little of chicanery for it to take 6hours to go from mturk to payments (particularly when it was instantaneous before). My 2 cents
Good morning!
Look back through them. See if you notice a pattern on the time. What time are they processing? Because, if you find out what time that is, you can get before transferring. I know they junked the "instant" thing, or whatever. They just process them as if they were separate institutions.
(This is pretty common, especially because the 2 business can be thought of as very separate. One being the payment/"banking solution" that Bezos wants to sell to emerging markets[payments]. I think he separated to cut the wart that is AMT Beta from a fully completed product[payments])
Anyway, the point is that now that they happen through "regular order", as McCain would call it, like all ACH, they happen in a
batch upload. The ones that happen at the grocery store aren't full transfers. Just pre-authorizations.(Is this money avail.? Hold it for us.)
Figure out when the cutoff to be included in the batch, and when the batch uploads and you'll know when to transfer to decrease percieved wait time.
If I can try and clarify, they don't
take a certain amount of time, now. They happen
at a certain time. +/- an hour ish.
Also, this happens multiple times per day.
EDIT/PS Sorry. I'm tired so, I may have forgotten something. Just let me know if it makes no sense.
