I think the 1060 6gb would only struggle on ultra on most new titles. This video from Digital Foundry from last year shows the one @LowCalCalzone has running several demanding games at high or max and most of them was at or well above the 60fps mark. Also, she was smart enough to get a 144hz monitor so her framerates will be higher than that in most cases and I'm certain Nvidia has optimized the drivers for smoother gameplay since the 1060gb came out.

I main console as a pleb.

I wouldn't want to spoil myself on how great games can actually look. would make going back terrible.

I main console as a pleb.

I wouldn't want to spoil myself on how great games can actually look. would make going back terrible.

I don't have a problem with people playing on console. The only issue I have is on the development side. They don't give gamers options (in most cases) to choose frame rate or high graphics. So, you usually end up stuck with 1080p 30fps or 1800p (with checkerboard rendering) 30fps. Games like Uncharted 4 or Horizon Zero Dawn would play much better at 60fps because of reaction time.

just wish the new consoles had the cpu to just reliably do 1080p 60 in most games not 4k-ish 30
