Still, though, I'd pay $2500 for a wife.
I made the ring I gave to my gf. Bought a gold coin off ebay... punched a hole through the center and hammered it down to a ring... buffed and polished it to a high sheen then embedded some laminated ebony wood into a groove using epoxy mixed with phosphorescent powder. It glows blue in the dark, shines under black light... and looks pretty darn stylish in daylight. I was super proud of myself. Took 3 attempts and nearly 4 months of work.

Yeah but I'm a skillless piece of shit and all I have is money.
Everyone I know acted like I was batshit insane and independently wealthy (buying a lot of expensive tools)... but it honestly wasn't that bad. I did all of the buffing/grinding with a dremel tool as well as cutting the groove for the wood... that and a hammer were the only tools I used. I took all three coins to a metal fabrication place and asked them kindly to punch the holes for me... took them less than 2 minutes. I took it over to a jeweler to have them fine tune the sizing on their mendel for $30 before I started work with the wood. The wood was just super thin shaved ebony that I coated with glue then wrapped around a dowel rod to dry. The epoxy came from lowes... cost $13 I think... the phosphorescent powder came from amazon and cost another 10 or 12 bucks.

I say it took me 3 attempts because it really did... I've never made a ring before... had no idea where to start... so I started by watching videos on youtube... fucked up the first two learning and nailed the third one.
