Furnace is out, HVAC guys says they can't come out until monday its 58 and dropping rapidly in my place so like any sane person I should just go stay in a hotel or with a friend until they fix it. Instead I'm going to screw with stuff I know nothing about in an attempt to fix it, long as the gas is shut off what is the worst that could happen?

you know just in case though....

A space heater wouldn't be a bad idea. You all could camp in the living room or whatever until Monday. Been there.

Haha! Yeah, similar thing happened during Hurricane Ike in '08. Husband stayed and held down the fort (with no power for 8 days) while sending the kids and I to Nashville to visit my sister.

I'm sure this was announced before, but CrowdSurf is cutting back even more on Mturk. From an email yesterday:

"In order to create a sustainable and user-friendly transcription experience on the CrowdSurfWork platform, we plan to lower Mturk task rates and discontinue Weekly Bonuses on Mturk.

On Wednesday March 9, 2016 Mturk rates will be lowered 10%. This means that for tasks that earn up to $0.17, Mturk will now pay $0.136.
Also,Monday March 7, 2016 - Sunday March 12, 2016 will be the last week that Weekly Bonuses are offered on Mturk. Starting Monday March 14, 2016 no tasks will be eligible for bonuses offers on Mturk.

Please note, this is ONLY on Mturk. Full base payments and bonuses will still be available via CrowdSurfWork and Work Market."

It surprises me that MTurk lets them continue doing that since it seems obvious that they're promoting another site/service, which is a TOS violation that other requesters have been suspended for.

True. I am signed up for their emails so it was not sent through any MTurk work. Will have to see how/if it is mentioned when the new hits are posted.
