Why has no one yet addressed my soda needs today? Am I supposed to drink Dr. Pete?

I'm supposed to be on a diet but I'd kill for a Dr. Pepper right now.

Also, as for the whole soda vs. pop thing, either of those are better than what people where I'm from call it...coke. For everything. Coca-cola, Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, Sprite..they call it all coke. It's awful. I personally prefer soda though.
