I caught that and started working on it, then decided to throw it back because something just seemed off.

The general guideline says to "add at most 4 new words to the story, or remove at most 4 existing words" so I don't think you have to think too hard!

I was thinking too hard. My problem is I always want to introduce extraneous information, because that's funnier.

When I was first doing them, I was really over thinking them.
Now i'm flying through them while following the guidelines.

The not adding "extraneous information" is what makes them tricky IMO. Like it would be easy just to substitute random shit in to make stuff not make sense, but that's not what they are looking for.
