True, but I completely forgot about the traceroute command until you reminded me and was interested to see what was what. Looks like Charter really hates me checking out anything ICMP until the last check, which is 39ms. It's got me checking rabbit holes now to see what's going on there.Unless your route is ridiculously bad it hardly ever makes a difference. I just remember running tracert to gaming servers back when internet service wasn't as good as it is today. Some isps would put you on a really shitty route to a server. Sometimes you could call and ask them to change your route to a more optimal one, but you're always limited by their capabilities and server locations
