You should get a confirmation email from Amazon on the day of the transfer stating that a request for transfer has been received, and then another email later on the same day stating that the request has been processed. Times seem to vary right now as to the time of day each person's payment request is initiated.
If you set it up today, the first transfer would begin processing on Tuesday (I think) and you would likely see it in your account sometime Wednesday.
If you are just setting up on the new system as of today, the system will not set the first withdrawal until 3 days from now. If the payment has already been setup and the withdrawal is set for Saturday, then it will still depend upon the bank that you are using as to whether or not the transfer gets completed on Monday or not. My bank clears my Sat/Sun transfers on Monday mornings, but for other banks that may not be the case.

That would be the simple explanation. It's probably waiting for the "proper" time to be deposited. Anything from amazon seems to work that way. Paypal, that seems to be nearly instant.
So then my first withdrawal (setting up for first time) would then be done on Monday and not today (?)

That was my experience when I got set up on the new system. My first withdrawal was set for 3 days after the day that I entered my banking information. If you set it up today, the first withdrawal should be initiated on Tuesday.
