HWTF is dead-set on $6/hour, for sure. Not open to discussion or debate. But there are a fairly decent amount of users on /r/mturk who speak up and say hell no when the $6/hour thing comes up. Usually @YAHU leads that brigade there.

Fun story. I'd say for the first few months that I turked, when I was doing batches or surveys, if they paid more than 6/hr, I would slow down cause I figured there was no reason to try an complete it faster. I would be like $2/10min, well I can go half speed and still come in at $6/hr.

They were legit when they were .70 and all in one single batch.
Not so much now. Only do them when desperate. which is quite often
