anyone using the scratch/default theme... is that green bar at the top too much?

It is a little large, but not problematically so. It is nice to have the search box always visible like this, though. (I had been going to suggest if you could control what's in the top brown bar, to have an 'MTC' on the far left before the social-media icons, and have that be a 'scroll back to the top to get to all the other things' link.)

Edit: If both bars are going to scroll like this now, reducing the usefulness of that idea, maybe just have a 'get to other forum sections' dropdown menu in there somewhere, I think that's the only thing really missing now. (It's near the top, but not in either bar.)

my opinion: make the green and brown bar skinnier, change one of the envelope icons so you don't use the same icon twice, put a little logo shaped like a piece of pizza next to the logotype

then it will be perfect :3

I did play with making them skinnier. It made the front page look weird, though, because they didn't really match up with the other stuff there. That was why I came in here and asked if anyone felt that the bar was unnecessary.

Yeah, it had already been suggested that we put a home logo up there or something. That's why I was playing around with it, but there's no option to do that. It's possible that I could figure it out if I really dug into the code for the theme templates, but that doesn't really appeal to me right now. So I just added the green bar for now.

Yeah I definitely miss them. They made some of my laziest days look decent because I would be able to make like $30 in two hours and go back to doing something unproductive.
