ah well, may David Lynch rest in peace. He deserves it.

My favorite was The Straight Story. And not because it was something that was pure, decent. It was the connection it gave me to my son as we both realized that was my dad. He'd given up his car, truck, tractors. But, by god, he was not giving up his riding lawn mower. David Lynch captured that.
