Sorry for the daft question but ... I can't check for changes every 60sec? (like for Prolific?) I like the auto-refresh, but love the 'ping' even more.

I used this for a little bit, and ended up liking distill a lot more. (although now I can't remember exactly why). It has 3 seconds as it's fastest interval. I use it for mturk surveys too on the new site, set a minimum pay amount in the filter on the webpage, select created by date: newest first, and set a notification in distill, and it seems i was getting more that way.

Edit: ok actually I get them about the same time I get a ding from someone posting it here, usually you, so maybe you don't need the survey part! lol how do you get them?

Visual Ping isn't designed for turking. It is designed to watch infrequently updated web pages for new content. The average user doesn't have the same needs as a turker.

That's pretty much why the turk community has been making its own tools. When none exist, make your own. If you are wanting to watch a page for changes try "Check4Change" it can even text you when it finds a change and you can set the refresh time down as low as 1 second.
