content writing mills does suck - I used to work for demand media back in the day - they paid 12-15 bucks per 500 word article and I could crank out 10-15 a day. Now they pay $5 if you're lucky ten years later. Most good places pay $50 -$200 for 500 words or so. It takes me about an hour, sometimes more if there's more research. But most of what I write is stuff I know - owning restaurants, fire departments, etc, personal essays
