i'm not getting a 1099-K but i think many states might now require income tax reporting even tho its not $20K+ in income just so the state computer systems might be able to pick up income unreporting/underreporting.

I've always exceeded the requirements with my royalties from KDP. Regardless of wehter or not you meet the requireement, or get a 1099 from them, you're still supposed to report it yourself. I have a feeling it's just a matter of time before any mturk amount gets repprted on a 1099
