i did have one underage actually lol, used it for college (my bio dad died, mom saved his social security intelligently) but I haven't had one since yeaaah.

This month i have been attempting to only spend out of my checking and not use my credit card. but that has left me flat broke and had to use my credit card for the doctor and the medicine on monday.
Sorry. You can hardly be blamed for being a debt slave in this day and age. Without some sort of capital injection at some point, if you start there, you stay there. And if you don't start there, you'll probably still end up there. Yay money.:eyeroll:

That place that your parents tell you they put imaginary money for your future. Don't worry. I think they disappear when you turn 18.:)
I don't recall being told anything even remotely similar to that.

I have no idea why I do some of the things I do
No worries I can relate to this :hilarious:

My experience doing Whartons:
  • Read the first page that says "we're going to ask you questions about this sentence: John plays baseball for the Astros"
  • Go to next page where it asks "What sport does John play?"
  • Immediately see baseball on the list
  • Select football
  • Click next only to be greeted by:
    • You're legitimately too stupid to take our survey, please return the HIT & have a nice day

My brain is fried. Just heard my dad fell down last night and broke his leg. (He's 72... not great) He's having an op to fix it tonight. But he's in the UK and I don't know if I should be going home to see him. I've got money to buy flights but that's about it. Also, I've not had the renewal of my being allowed to stay in the USA paperwork. (processing, processing, processing) and if I go, I might not get back in.

I'm so very sorry you're going through this. I hope he recovers swiftly.

Ugh. Sorry. What a decision. Maybe wait a day and see how the family feels once things have had a minute to calm down. Also, no surprise Fed paperwork hasn't been completed. I'm guessing that's one of the casualties of the current shutdown.

I'm so sorry... I feel you on absolutely everything... the sick Dad back home, the endless frustration of USCIS paperwork... I'm just so sorry. It all sucks.

If only the shutdown were to blame. My new green card got approved last May. Still haven't received the fucking thing.
