I mean, don't get me wrong, I feel you - I'll just say, this guild is what got me to *stop* pretending MMOs were single-player games (after I spent 4 years in SWTOR doing just that)

But um. They probably wouldn't mind, but if that's what you want to do, it seems counter to your purpose to join a guild at all? I might be missing something.

Well if we're talking ESO (I may have missed a message but I think we are), guilds are the only way you can sell on the "in-game market". So a big part of the economy is cut off (for sales) if you're not in a guild.

The last guilds I was in were not so great, one kicked me out (I think it may have failed so who knows), the other was full of harassers.

Many guild/fleet systems have in-game benefits. ESO probably has more than market access, but that's the one I think of first.

Edit: Also people like to ask "if you don't want to be in a group why play MMOs," well, new RPG content doesn't come out every day, you know. Some of these games would be good as standalone games (and I wish they were - or at least small group games, though that doesn't happen so much since the death of the LAN Party (mostly).).

Depending on your weekly sales you might be better off joining a guild that's specifically for trade? (Though you'd have to turn on zone chat for a while to find one. )We do have a trader most of the time, and if you were going to contribute that way the guild most likely wouldn't mind much that you didn't talk in chat, I'm just not sure how advantageous that might be for you (since it's not really the focus)

the new one isnt working, its asking for an event code once i took it and got to the survey page. i emailed but who knows how long itll be before i get a reply
