It will be visible to the eye all around Pittsburgh area. They said to expect a large flash and sonic boom with upwards of 300,000 pieces of debris that may interfere with other satellites and will create a debris belt. They are supposed to pass within 40 feet of each other right over us, but the boom of one of the satellites is 60 feet, so if the positioning is a little off, they'll collide. Both cool and really gives scale to how much junk and inactive/defunct satellites there are floating around us!

no worries (unless you are in low earth orbit). Any chunks that may reenter are small enough to burn up in the atmosphere on reentry. Objects in orbit should be more concerned as the debris cloud after a collision will spread out and pieces may impact other satellites.

I'm looking forward to see if I can see the new 60 Starlink broadband sats tonight. For a week or two after launch, they orbit as a train of satellites until they start to space out and become a less obvious train across the sky.
