Not every instance of a requesters name on mturk will give you the option to contact them when you click it IME.

open the hit like youre about to work on it, then click their name. the hit details popup

Usually an adolescent between the ages of ten and twelve. Older than a 'kid' not quite a teen. (But usually have the attitude of a teen.) The in between stage of childhood.
