There's a Prof in CS @ UCSD who I know personally because he lives a few blocks away from me and our kids used to be semi-frequent playmates... He posted a batch HITs a few years back and then rejected a ton of properly completed HITs because "Accidentally posted up more HITs than I can fund, sorry."

I guess he wasn't a math professor?

You have to pay for the HITs upfront, so that makes it even worse!

What I've noticed is that I can show as purple in PC, but if I can still catch a HIT (as I just did, again), I can do the HIT and it instantly approves. See if they appear in OW and try and catch one that way, and see what happens.

If they're still pending from yesterday, I believe they're under manual review. After they are reviewed he'll change your qual back to what it was or unqual you. So there's still a chance that you can work on his stuff in a day or two!

Thanks, this is good to know. I have been using them mainly to get my numbers up between good surveys/other batches. Trying to get to 10,000 by the end of the month.

Odd, had a HIT tell me it cannot verify I am in the US. That they would manually decide it and I need to contact the requester. umm..."return". I am not using a VPN or anything and not going to risk a rejection after I spend time working on something when I know that rejection is a possibility right at the start. I have done surveys for them before without issues too. Strange.
