Is it safe to leave money sitting available for transfer? I know it is going to be different for each person but at what amount do people usually transfer their money out?

every once in awhile, you hear a horror story of someone losing their account and not having access to their money.
it's rare - but not so rare that we-all haven't heard of it happening.
I transfer nearly every day.
