Ours was both easy and hard to train. Easy because she is very smart and picked up on what we wanted pretty quick. Hard because she's headstrong and smarter than I am, so she's ended up training me in a few ways. But yes, we were able to conquer house training and basic obedience without much drama, especially considering neither of us had owned a dog before.

Sending positive corgo-vibes your way! They can definitely be tough to find in rescues (we ended up getting ours from a breeder), but I've heard that finding mixes isn't too hard. Someone I know rescued a corgi-chihuahua mix and it's the cutest darn thing I've ever seen.

Haha, thanks for the tip! Our roommate has a really obnoxious lab mix that she didn't train very well (really at all) so he's turned us off to having a dog at the moment. But maybe when she, or we, move out we can start having that discussion again!

BTW, I saw a corgi on my run and had to stop to pet it. It will hold me over for now.

no man, I only ever go to 711 when my kid wants to get a slurpee and a chili cheese dog (actually hamburger) and just sit outside the store to eat it.
it's actually one of her more favorite activities on the weekends

A quiet word(to those who care): NLP research group at Tokyo Tech (correct spelling/caps), 12.00 HIT. Caught on panda at 4AM ish. Fairly quick. Well worth a panda (sorry, I no havey any more). Just paid out. I really half expected a rejection--it was too easy(and I'm a suspicious ol' bag). Noteworthy note: put pandas of foreign requesters(like Dermot) on in the dark of the nite--unless you're also foreign, of course.
