I don't know for 100% certain because I haven't poked around in all the requester fancy stuff, but I would think they'd be able to automate it like they can with rejections.

They can automate it. They can also have research assistants, students, TAs, etc. handling stuff for them.

Can Requesters block without being in their office? Honest question

If they only use the web interface, then no. If they use the API I'm sure they could set something up to like autoblock after an x amount of rejections threshold is reached or something. I don't know. Even if he manually applied the block, it doesn't mean that he has his email open, or that he's actually gone over the data yet. Like I said, just be patient.

I did a lot mine all approved.
The way I answered was rated only
a 1, 3 & 5 to show the worst the medium one and clearly the best one. I did this for every hit. I dunno if you answered different.
I won’t do anymore though thank you.

I remember doing the same way as well. No idea why the decided to block 14 in a row in the middle of all my hits I submitted. The others are approving/approved. I'm going to wait until later and send them a message asking for clarification. I'm irritated, but open to the possibility that it was either an error on their end or mine. I'll update once I receive a response from them, hopefully tomorrow sometime.

Is this permissible on Mturk or if it is to be marked "blank" or "unclear" do I have to click on those for them to be officially registered?

That's going to fully depend on what the requester wants and what their instructions say. If it's not clear, I'd recommend contacting them and asking.
