I had a logitech mx518 for 10+ years before it finally gave out. My current razer mouse I've had for a fraction of the time and it's already messing up.. and it cost more.

I have the deathadder and the mouse3 button is already broke after 4 months.

Thank you all for your replies. About $300 more? I think that's the difference between touch and non-touch. I want to buy a new laptop and I don't know if I should invest more or not .

At that much more, without another reason to use it (e.g. touchscreen games, doodling or taking notes with a stylus) I wouldn't get touchscreen. I mainly like it for mturk because I can still use it if my trackpad is being dumb or there's a task that I can't tab through but I could easily live without it. I don't usually use it for surveys either, I tab through all the bubbles instead of the trackpad or mouse click, I find it fastest that way.

That is a ton of extra money. I would much rather use that money to get a laptop with a regular screen but other features, bigger SSD drive, better graphics card if you're playing games, longer battery life, better warranty, etc.

No way in hell a touch screen is worth an extra $300 in my mind. If you can, try to get something with an ssd (solid state hard drive). Seriously the biggest, most immediately noticeable quality of life upgrade I've ever made to a computer, so awesome going from power button to login screen in ~15 seconds
