Good morning. Honest question; Does telling someone you're just not that into them always suck? Or is there a better way to do this that I'm not seeing?
EDITing to add context...
This woman works at the store across from my house. She's worked there for 2 weeks. So, that's how long I've known her. We've never corresponded via text/msg/ phone before today. She wanted me to get her
. She lives 2 blocks from me so I didn't see the harm. I was on my best behavior while I was there and tried to make sure that I didn't imply anything. I can be flirty, I guess. Before I left, she had a movie on, she dimmed the lights. I figured that was my cue to leave. I gave her a hug, she came in for a kiss but, all she got was some cheek. I got home. She said, "Had a great time, thanks for coming over."
I said, "I had a good time too. We'll have to do it again."
Her next text is, " Just come over tomorrow. Just go with the flow and I guarantee we'll both have fun. Because your lips look so soft...etc"
Obvs we're are looking for different things. I don't mind being straight up with her but, I'm trying to see if there is a generally accepted way to deal with this type of thing. Thanks.
