It's like that woman who got arrested and lost her job because she let her daughter go play at the park while she was working during the summer.

The police found her/us because the neighbor told them what kind of car her mother drives (she got in the car and followed her daughter). I guess they circled the neighborhood until they found us. we live in a quiet neighborhood - a suburb - all houses.

It was surreal. Worse (for me) all of my neighbors saw the cop cars at MY house . I have no idea what they think..........

Wow, everyone walked to school wherever we lived, even when I lived in Detroit where the sidewalks were slippery and snowy. Even little kindergartners walked to school. I'm always amazed when I see kids in good neighborhoods being driven to school by their parents on a nice day. We walked everywhere when I was a kid, we just had boundaries and we had to let our parents know where we were going.
