They rarely do cold door-to-door anymore. The area around me is poorer so they go around offering help to people occasionally but they'll also come if someone specifically sent by someone. Which is usually the case when they come to see us.I thought they were stopping this (door-to-door stuff)>
I lived in a sort-of heavily populated Mormon area and we got them quite a bit (not meaning to sound derogatory, we have friends that are Mormon, neighbors -
but the door to door thing, well -
anyway, they came all the time until once I looked at them sadly and (honestly) seeing their young faces and how callow they were (to the world) said what was really honest - for me - at that moment:
I really wish there was some way to help you, but there isn't.
(and that was the last time they came!)
It makes me sad to see them, too, which is why I'm never rude. They're doing what they believe is right and they're just kids.
