A succulent for sure. Find out what kind of light/environment it'd spend most of its time in since some can be easier to care for than others (some like more humidity or more light, for example), but even if it doesn't make it, it'll last longer than roses. Plants are great and most flower (usually multiple times during their life) so it's a good gift imo.
You made an excellent choice! A mix of succulents is normally good as they thrive off of each other. At least that's what the succulent lady told me during a class once.

I think that was probably a messy way of sorting the gold/silver/bronze winners into buckets, using the place ranking. The lack of division between the silver and bronze tiers makes me think someone screwed up the task.
