they built the stuff in Lake Placid for the 1932 olympics, I went in the mid 70s. Not sure luge or skeleton was in the Games back then, nor what course they would have used (or a special one) Monobob is new this year, else I would have done it
My 16 year old self would have done luge and skeleton in a heartbeat. My current self has way too many broken bones and other ortho injuries from 29 years of firefighting and other life adventures. I might not be in Evel Knievel's league, but I'm definitely in the triple A minors (I have broken 42 or 43 bones in my life)

I did break a rib when pregnant with daughter
