yes and no. Some of it quit in the middle of all this muddle. I do have a down comforter, an electric blanket and heating pad....and no quams about staying in bed all day.....I'm also a few miles from the Gulf and therefore slightly warmer that that stupid city to the north. Also I spent years collecting handknits and have no problem wearing them(as many as possible at a time--all the time). It's nothing short of amazing how warm Icelandic wool is. One of my almost never used comforters is stuffed with that particular wool. (I also used to collect comforters, too.) All this probably comes from growing up in a house that was mostly unheated for years. There wasn't AC either. But that was the times then. There weren't many TVs either.

Blackbeard's treasure and portable heaters have something in common right now. Fortunately we have one more night below freezing and it probably won't be a sustained freeze. Then it's summer again(hopefully). We can complain about the horrors of that in a few months.

I've never used it. I've seen it online for years.

It's supposed to work for a few hours (as long as the tea light burns and that can be 4 hours).

I wouldn't worry about exploding dishes. But I wouldn't leave it unattended.
