I finished House of Leaves! It was great, but...the ending kind of fell flat for me. Maybe I didn't get something, I'm not sure

The ending was my least favorite part. For me it peaked when they really got into how incomprehensibly big the labyrinth was. I've really got to give it another read!

Keep in mind, the temp. of your house, humidity ect. will influence how much flour to add So, it's a skill that you have to learn (you can feel it in the dough). That can take time. This article suggests starting with an egg heavy bread (challah) - which surprised me (I just looked up tips). But challah is a lovely - beautiful - bread. So, that might be nice . And don't buy a digital scale (I've never had one and I'm a great cook).
