Does it need to be the same email you use on your SB account? I haven't had Hulu in a few years, but they never let me get a free trial, so I'm worried it wouldn't work for some reason.

Not 100% sure, as my current Hulu account is under a different email address than my SB account, so the Hulu and SB account emails were the same for me - but I used a different one for Gamefly and everything still seemed to work okay. I would assume if you use the links on the SB page about the deal, you'll be all right (many apologies if I'm wrong)
