no, the reason being that the gastroenterologist at that hospital was on vacation until february (this was mid-january - sure wish i could take a multiple-week long vacation!). so there was no one at that hospital qualified to fix him. and they admitted that we'd have problems with insurance paying the cost if they admitted him for "observation" so we got the hell out of there and over to the other hospital where they placed a stent at the leak. he is actually getting it removed tomorrow, so i won't be around much. fingers crossed that it goes well and this is the end of that ordeal. my gosh.

That's pretty shitty on the first hospital's part. I hope it goes well!

yes, looked like interns or students practicing. I had to write observations about each one of them. couldn't handle more than 20 with my typing speed.
