i've seen that look before, you are his next meal if you are not careful

look for signs around his sleeping quarters or behind the couch like: cutlery, BBQ sauce, napkins, a bib, gloves, cyanide tabs and a bottle of whiskey.
This sounds like the dog's a drunk dog spy with a liking to barbecued meals

Yeah I mean I answer them as honestly as *possible*, given that they are blind toddlers (Hi Liz @Liz!) struggling through anthro/psych/soc 1a.

I do like it when they have a feedback box and I admit to wasting slightly too much time expounding on the subject when it comes up. Someday if I start seeing better quality questions I will *so* take inappropriate credit for it. :)
"...blind toddlers..." FUNNY!

He's honestly not nearly as.. aggressive? as he puts off in that picture. He suffers from a serious case of "head too big for body" syndrome.

Regardless, I can provide the whiskey.

Also Prolific has been paying within minutes a *lot* more than they were last year, but who knows maybe that's because I was a newbie then.
I just did my first study on Prolific today. 4 of them actually.

I just got a rejection from ML Researcher for not passing a "sanity" check. Bahahaha!
Send them a message requesting a reversal because they requested a human and they did not specifically list sanity in their requirements.

If they have *any* sense of humor at all, they will reverse.

just got a rejection from Lane Wakefield for missing an attention check apparently
which is fine, everyone is bound to miss one of those occasionally. whats not fine, is it only takes missing 1 of them for him to reject. what else isn't fine is that his survey doesn't just end without giving you a code. I messaged him about how he should have it set up to where the survey ends if an attention check is missed and all i got back from him was a "thanks for your feedback" . I noticed he already has 2 rejections on record too. So i suggest adding him onto the ole block list.

Well i had a nice 30k ish streak with no rejections. o/ *waves goodbye to it* lol
That's a dirty trick.

I just did my first study on Prolific today. 4 of them actually.
My first day was like $15 and 10 surveys. Days 2-7 were pretty blank.

Also I spend most of my time errored out so it doesn't show surveys, but that's actually been better for the last week or two (sadly I was gone much of last week so I missed most of them).

For whatever reason it won't let me stay logged in. I get booted back to login and have to come back when I complete a survey, accept a survey, reserve a survey, etc..... On mobile and on Windows. Not sure what that's about.

It's actually a similar setup to Turk in how requesters pay on Prolific. I think it probably has to do with the fact that they vet requesters more thoroughly than Turk and just attract a higher Tier of researcher than Turk, overall.

They made a good impression on me today. The first study I did was fairly compensated and I completed it in a little under the estimate. When I went back a little later they had added another .30 cents in order to "compensate fairly" because they "may" have underestimated the time it would take to complete. Stay classy Prolific

Are you suggesting that mturk requesters don't conduct top tier research?

I admired their doing that. More honest than many other Rs I've worked with.

Anyone doing Zellers? Are they getting approved? I'm getting nervous as I have about 100 of them not approved yet and normally he approves quickly.

I've been lurking for awhile and decided it was time to join in the fun. I broke 1000 hits the first of January. I'm one of those that turks in my spare time so it's slow going for me. Sure do appreciate this forum though!
