Oh wow! I knew I could group them but didn't know i could do that.
How do I get them on top of one another?

You need to do 3 things...

1. Click on a tab, then hold the Ctrl key and click the other tabs to tile. All the tabs you selected will have a highlight around them.
2. Right click one of the highlighted tabs and select Tile x tabs from the middle of the menu that pops up.
3. Along the bottom of the screen is a status bar (if not, press Ctrl-Shift-S). Select the layout icon which is a box with line(s) in it from the options near the right bottom corner. I chose the one with 4 boxes for the layout I used in the screenshot.
