I was able to grab one of these. It's working now. I realized that I did this one, the other day. Does anyone know if we are allowed to do more than one? I didn't see where it said we couldn't but its possible I missed it.

You know, I rolled my eyes at the whole Instapot craze... until I got one. I have cooked some amazing low-effort meals with that thing.:handok:

For real. I use the instant pot or sous vide like every other night during the week.

But making perfect mashed potatoes in like a half hour? HNNG Instant Pot <3

It screens you out if you have done it before.

I love crockpots for the convenience but like 95% of the time they are not the ideal way of cooking a recipe, and if you are looking for "gourmet" you would be better off using a different method.

For me, the miracle moment was taking the cheapest cuts of stew meat that I could find... and in FIFTEEN MINUTES they were fall-apart moist and tender. Mind blown.

With both you are pretty much just steaming the food. This will work with a lot of things and is convenient but often isn't the ideal way to cook things. If you wouldn't normally steam something there's probably a better way to cook it.

I'm really just being nit-picky about the word "gourmet"

At what point? I know I did this about 2 weeks ago, but it didn't screen me out... when it showed back up 2 days ago it turned purple on me, but I was able to catch it today. Confused.

Maybe this is a new one. The last one I caught, after you clicked "start the experiment" it basically said "no, thanks, repeat worker." But I've got one in my queue now that let me get farther than that I didn't see anything obvious that said not to, so I'm going to complete it.

I don't mean to be rude, but I've spent significant time living off of microwaved ramen and fumes the past five years, so any time I can splurge on slightly better food and have the energy to throw it together into the crockpot and wait for it means I get to eat gourmet.
