Does anyone know where you go on regular Amazon turk to find the hourly rate breakdown?

If you mean the bare bones Amazon Mturk, there is no hourly rate breakdown as far as I know. Hourly activity is integrated into various scripts and extensions that people like to use.

He is busy like anyone else, and he is very much invested in making sure that his tools work for as many people as possible.

I agree that he worked hard, but if he is not receptive to the proposals and observations of those around him, and listens only to those who flatter him, it is a bit useless.
