I don't qualify for this, but I think these studies - this genre - are pretty dangerous (people abreact - and it absolves the survey creator because of the 'internet distance'). One day I had a terrible time doing one of those look at these traumatic pictures study. I was on my laptop in the car and just started to cry. I can't look at dead babies (I mean there was gore!) and then the next picture was of a pretty animal prancing through the field. The pictures just came one after the other: terrible, horrific, then happy people eating ice cream. It was awful.

I know what you mean, I took one study which said it would show upsetting pictures, I thought the researchers were just being careful. I know what you mean, I took one study which said it would show upsetting pictures, I thought the researchers were just being careful. But no, they really were just awful pictures showing gore, images of war, starvation, etc. Being around the internet since I was young I've seen my fair share of messed up stuff, but to have to look at one pic after the other, through dozens of them, it's very disturbing.
