I LOVE this ad for it. It says "Ideal for personal listening "or the outdoor life". You know, for when you go camping with a bunch of fragile and easily damaged vinyl records.

Whenever I go hiking I put nothing in my backpack except vinyl, old timey cameras, and a typewriter.

The forest service has had to rescue me 8 times.

It's really incredible how much work you had to put in back in the day to listen to music. It was a commitment, if you bought a record you were stuck with it, you had to save for months to get any sort of player.

And now with streaming I have access to like every single song in the world and I waste it by getting drunk and listening to the Bee Gees.
