Nope. Within an hour, one of the long term "residents" offered me one of her shirts and scrub pants because I was too tall for the jumpsuit they so kindly provided upon check in. I felt like I was being split in 2 from the crotch up. Ultimately, I think I'd do pretty well in prison without having to be anyone's bitch. But I keep my nose clean because I don't ever want to test that theory.

Yes I did. I would make myself fall asleep on my side, but a lot of nights I would end up on my back. It was truly one of the most terrifying things I had ever experienced, and the bad thing was I never knew going to bed when it would happen.

i've heard lots of stories about it and it sounds really frightening. its always interested me that there's so many different angles to the phenomena. paranormal, medical, psychological...etc

I think it's physiological. It's part of keeping your body from "acting" out your dreams, but somehow the wiring gets crossed and that's where I think it could be circulatory as well. It all works together. I don't think it's paranormal at all, but I can only speak for myself.

If I ever get SP, I find moving to the couch for an hour or 2 helps. I usually only get it when I'm, literally, exhausted. Good luck.
