I have an anniversary of sorts coming up tomorrow. I had a really bad bicycle accident about 6 years ago. I ended up in the hospital with several broken bones, a lot of road rash and stitches in my face. I gave my phone to my bestie and asked her to call my boss, Dave to let him know that I wouldn't be showing up for work the next day. Well, I had more than one contact named Dave. The one she ended up mistakenly calling was a guy that I had dated briefly two years before. He showed up at the hospital 15 minutes later, and took the fuck care of me. The love of my life.
