Where was this proven? I know it was a theory, but I didn't think it was ever backed up.

Well, since I've emailed the people through mturk on several accounts and have gotten a hold of the real people that the account name is under and they've said that they have no clue what mturk even is...

(Which is why on a lot of the hits they put an email in the hit for you to contact. They know you can't reach them via the mturk messaging system)
