Getting a babysitter on a Saturday night is next to impossible without booking in advance. I don't know what time zone you're in, but if it's still daylight, going to the park will do them a world of good and you, as well, plus it's free.

If not, follow other advice above.
I would if it wasn't 31 degrees outside. I already took them to an indoor playground today. I pretty much have my kids 24/7/365 and usually can't get anyone to watch them.

My kids have no qualms at all just dropping their asses off here without little warning, my wife lets them pull that shit all the time. No peace

My mom would have a heart attack if I just dumped my kids on her. I seriously need to ask her two weeks in advance and she never, ever takes them for the night!

What she gonna do? Call the cops and have the kids taken to the local orphanage?

I have friends that take dd for the night  (and then we take theirs). It's a big help - especially when she was younger (really saved me). I've never had to pay for a babysitter :).

I see! I thought about the time zone thingie, but not the weather thingie. I'm sorry that you don't ever get a break.. Having kids 24/7/365, without help is exhausting. I'm sure it's not easy, but you can do it! Surely, it'll be bed time soon, and then they'll look adorable.

No, she wouldn't, but my dad would!
what about a mother's helper kind of person? I was thinking this because my daughter is 13 and has been looking around the neighborhood for just that kind of job. She's a little too young to be home at night with kids babysitting, but she's old enough for afternoon 'gigs' -
