How to post replies to HITS?

I have a question about replying to your post. When someone replies to a hit post should the HIT be deleted (like in this reply)or hidden in another way? It seems like hitfinder see's the HIT replies as a hit. I didn't have hitfinder up at the moment i posted but i have seen the same hit pop up with replies to the hit. Just seems more efficient if only the new hits pop up instead of seeing the same hit 5 times in a row with of replies. I'm still learning to forum & I'm unsure how this stuff works.
