I live in the suburbs of Orl and it's pretty nice tbh. I know LA is not the best city in the US from what i've heard but i do have family there

I visited Florida twice as a teenager and had bad experiences both times (bad food poisoning and a hurricane), but I know that I could get food poisoning anywhere and DC can have nasty effects from a hurricane.

Florida and L.A. just aren't interesting places to me. I prefer museums and the like and they are a dime a dozen here in DC. Not that DC is 100% perfect either (high costs of living and not having Reps/Senators in Congress despite paying federal taxes).

Coming from person that's from NYC I honestly love it here and would never move elsewhere. i visited DC once in 2006 and got my car broken into twice so that city left a bad taste in my mouth and the museums weren't my thing. Don't know if anything improved or not but all this breaking in happened in the area of the deaf university .
