I have mentioned this before but when I first started, I was not too savvy about forums ect. A well known Turker, who I won't name although his candy loving wife is on the forum also, mentioned he made so much money doing jobs by a requester named ScoutIt. It took me a day of doing them and making $4.39 to realize he was being a little sarcastic

Yes. It was a good lesson to learn for me. I actually laughed at myself for thinking that I could just watch a forum to get jobs instead of searching for them. It was that incident that made me start looking for quals and refreshing my page more to find new requesters instead of waiting for someone to hand me the hits.
