It's not just mean, it's ignoring real world issues facing a generation that for the first time is making less than the generation before it and ridiculous housing costs in most parts of the country that make them unable to afford their own homes, along with shrinking full-time job potential.

It's not laziness screwing them over, it's a lack of real opportunities most likely coupled with a mountain of student debt.

And to be honest, this feels like punching downward at a lower tier group when most people wouldn't consider what we do to be a real job and view us with the same contempt.

As the mother of 3 millennials I disagree. My two oldest (who are 23 and 21) currently both make more then I do, my 18 year old is also on track for this, none of them have gone to college so no debt. My 23 year old owns her home and 21 year old is looking. I guess it depends on where you live. In my area jobs are everywhere, good paying jobs but I also think there needs to be drive to want more. My kids started at their jobs early and moved up quickly. They have all worked since they were 16 (a requirement in my house). Most kids their age just graduating with a ton a debt when expecting to start out in a position making 6 figures which isn't realistic. Not saying you are wrong in certain areas but I see ALOT of kids their age expecting life to be easy and it's just not.
