I mean, I've probably heard him in the grocery store or something, but I've never sat down and listened to him. I remember having this convo when David Bowie died... hip hop just has a unique sound that I'm into... and I'm not talking garbage rappers like Drake, future, plies, and meek mill... I mean, Nas, 2pac, Eminem, BIG, Bone thugs, Big L, Big Daddy Kane, NWA, Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Logic, Ludacris

but anyway.. this should be about prince so I'll leave it at that... I do recognize that he was a huge pop icon and deserves a day of remembrance.
I guess I just listen to and love so many genres that I can't relate. Some of these deaths hit me harder than others. I feel like Bowie and Prince were groundbreakers and influenced future generations of music. Anway. Yeah, I like about 1/2 the ones you mentioned above. I'm just sad. And pissed at myself that I didn't go see him last time he was in town.

He was always his own person and thinking outside the box. He was a big part of my childhood memories. I remember not being allowed to watch Purple Rain and thought it was a big deal when I got to watch it at a friend's house. The 80's was a pretty awesome decade to grow up in. RIP Prince.
