I would call the detective who took your statement and let them know that you would like to withdraw and at least see what the process entails. From what you're saying, it's at least worth a phone call it seems.

Tried calling 3 times last week... no return call. Guess I have no choice but to show up to court and see what happens... or don't show up and apparently be thrown in jail for contempt of court. Lose/Lose
